This is one of those motorcycles with the rear axle being the crankshaft and the big end of the connecting rod directly powering the wheel.  The cylinder was based on a Renault cylinder liner with the original intent being to have a cylinder
     
  on each side of the bike.  After finding out that one cylinder had enough torque to lift the front wheel, it was left as a single cylinder.  More information on the boiler will come later as we find it.  This is one of many steam vehicles lost in the mists of time.  It was last somewhere in Florida and I think with a widow of Paul Chaddock.
